Residential Homes

Service Area: Eastern Iowa

To The Rescue provides a long term home solution for qualifying individuals under the Home and Community Based Waiver Program.

Serving Eastern Iowa, our single-family supportive community living residential homes are currently located in Cedar Rapids, Marion and Hiawatha. Each home is in a neighborhood close to community resources that include shopping, transportation and entertainment.

To The Rescue residential homes accommodate up to five members. Members enjoy the privacy of their own room and interact with the other residents and staff in the shared living spaces.

Community Engagement

Our skilled support staff provide opportunities for members to participate in every day activities for self discovery, life enrichment and other life skills. Activities include, but are not limited to, meal planning, grocery shopping, attending a movie, going to a ball game, seeing a play, visiting the zoo, discovering new hobbies, attending community events and a wide assortment of other enriching activities.

24-Hour Support

Based on each individual’s unique needs, To The Rescue Iowa provides 24-hour support for adults with disabilities. Adults who need extra supervision or care live in the least restrictive setting while respecting special needs for structure and routine.

We work with each of our members and their team to assess their goals and interests. Every individual in a To The Rescue residential home is actively involved in planning their daily routine and selecting the services they need to be successful. We also collaborate with families and case managers to develop Individualized Service Plans (ISPs). We continually adjust service plans as individuals reach new goals or their needs change.
