To The Rescue hosts dance for people living with disabilities

CEDAR RAPIDS To The Rescue strives to encourage people living with disabilities to get out in their community more often. People living with a disability around Cedar Rapids are encouraged to come dance the night away. To The Rescue has partnered with Basix to throw dance parties since October 2017.

At first, individuals are shy to get on the dance floor. But after a few songs the group won’t stop dancing.

“I enjoy being here dancing with the girls,” Timothy Cook said. “This is my first time here,” Mollie Chester said. “I like to enjoy with my friends.”

To the Rescue hosts a dance party once a month at Basix. For more information, call (319) 826-6068 or email [email protected].
